CONFESSION  -  Most merciful God, I confess that by nature I am sinful and unclean.  I have sinned against You in thought, word and deed, by what I have done and by what I have left undone.  I have not loved You with my whole heart; I have not loved my neighbor as I love myself.  I justly deserve your present and eternal punishment.  For the sake of Your Son, Jesus Christ, please have mercy on me.  Forgive me, renew me and lead me so that I may delight in Your will and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your Holy Name.  Amen.

                                                                                                              SH 15

OFFERING : Celebratory Response –

ALL:   On the wings of a dove, You sent us peace.  On the Cross of Your Son, You sent us eternal life.  In the vows we make to You Lord, we desire to be intentional in our discipleship.  Like our ancestor’s before us, we cannot complete our selves without You.  Let us take Your blessings into our spirits.  Let us take You into this world through our thoughts, behaviors and tasks.  When others look at us, let them see You.

Amen.  Let it be so.

PRAYERS  OF  THE  PEOPLE

L:   For Our Father’s Kingdom here on earth, that we may learn the ways in

which You want us to care for ourselves and others, we pray

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   Because of the sacrifice of Your Son’s life

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   For You love us as You would have us love others, with mercy, patience and

      joy

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   Because life without You is no life at all

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   For more opportunities to see You in others

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   Because wars, mistrust, terrorism, deep poverty and disease in the world

Today is not the way You would have us behave

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   For all the saints gone on before, and all Your saints alive today

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   Because there are those among us with grief and heartaches of their own

      (intercessions here)

C:  We live to serve You Lord

L:   For You have taught us that to serve You we must lovingly, humbly and with

No malice serve others in Your Name, we pray most sincerely

C:  We live to serve You Lord.  Amen, let it be so.

PRAYER  OF  THANKS  AND  JOY

ALL:   Father God, thank You so much for this day!  Thank You for the blessings of the people You put in our lives.  Thank You for welcoming us all at Your table.  Thank You for dying for us so that we may come home to Heaven to be with You for all time.  Amen.  Let it be so.

PRAYER  FOR  SIGNS

ALL:   Heavenly Father, we know that you fill our everyday life with signs from You.  Signs on how we should be living.  Signs on how we should be thinking.  Signs on how we should be behaving.  Signs from You that tell us how You want to use us to accomplish Your mission.

Please help us to be more aware of Your signs.  Please open our eyes to see the wonder of Your signs.  Please open our ears to hear the music of Your signs.  Please open our minds to the realities of Your signs being the matter of our everyday lives.  Please instill in our hearts the perfect love that comes with Your signs.  We thank You for injecting our spirits with Your Holy Spirit, so that we may dedicate our lives fully to You, as our sign of love, worship and devotion to You.

Thank You, Father.  Amen.
