“AS  THE  DEER”

1.  As the deer panteth for the water, so my soul longeth

               after thee.

     You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to worship

          thee.

REFRAIN:  You alone are my strength, my shield;

                    To you alone may my spirit yield.

                    You alone are my heart’s desire, and I long to

                        worship thee.

2.  You’re my friend and you are my brother, even though

          you are a king.

     I love you more than any other, so much more than

          anything.

REFRAIN.

3.  I want you more than gold or silver, only you can satisfy.

     You alone are the real joy giver and the apple of my eye.

REFRAIN.

“BREAK  THOU  THE  BREAD  OF  LIFE”

1.  Break thou the bread of life, Dear Lord, to me,

     As thou didst break the loaves beside the sea;

     Beyond the sacred page I seek thee, Lord;

     My spirit pants for thee, O living Word!

2.  Bless thou the truth, dear Lord, to me, to me,

     As thou didst bless the bread by Galilee;

     Then shall all bondage cease, all fetters fall;

     And I shall find my peace, My all in all. Amen.

“BE  THOU  MY  VISION”

1.  Be thou my vision, O Lord of my heart;

     Naught be all else to me, save that thou art;

     Thou my best thought . . . by day and by night,

     Waking or sleeping, thy presence my light.

2.  Be thou my wisdom, and thou my true word;

     I ever with thee and thou with me, Lord.

     Thou my soul’s shelter, thou my high tower,

     Raise thou me heav’nward, O Pow’r of my pow’r.

3.  Riches I heed not, nor vain, empty praise,

     Thou mine inheritance, now and always;

     Thou, and thou only, first in my heart,

     Great God of heaven, my treasure thou art.

4.  Light of my soul, after victory won,

     May I reach heaven’s joys, O heaven’s Sun!

     Heart of my own heart, whatever befall.

     Still be my vision, O Ruler of all.
